Day 4: Big Day

Today was a big day!  We started out from Georgetown KY.  Stopped in Louisville and went to the Louisville Slugger Factory.  It was a small factory but a working factory where they make wooden bats.

First stop of the day... Louisville Slugger factory where they make the actual major league baseball bats for specific players.  It was very cool.

Finally in a new time zone!
After the factory we drove for many miles, through Indiana and Illinois.  It was exciting when we hit a new time zone.
Most of Indiana and Illinois scenery
Our goal was to make it to St. Louis.
We made it!!!
We got to St. Louis and checked into our hotel and still had time to wander the city.

Beautiful picture of old courthouse and arch behind it, not to mention the handsome guy
Jeff was really excited about going to the courthouse .  He knew a lot of the history thanks to TMHS
We had tickets to go up to the arch for tomorrow morning, but when we went to see it, they were able to switch our tickets so we went today.  It was awesome, no crowds and the weather was clear.
The door to the elevator we took to the top of the arch
In the arch elevator

After the arch, we had dinner and then found this garden a few blocks away.  St. Louis is not very crowded with people or traffic for a Monday afternoon.
We found the city garden which was really nice.  Had lots of statues, fountains, flowers and was just a really nice walk.

City Garden.  See Jeff in the eye?
We enjoyed our time in St. Louis.  Where to next?
